Vision
JONC strives to be the preferred resource for professionals and academics committed to better understanding and studying the changing dynamic of complying with NCAA rules and regulations.
Goals
Provide insightful and timely analysis of the NCAA to subscribers and readers. – Advance the study of NCAA compliance and compliance related issues through focusing on topics such as, but not limited to: NCAA and conference sanctions, NCAA and conference bylaws, intercollegiate student-athlete eligibility, athletic compliance departments (structure, operations, policies, etc.), the intersection between the law and NCAA, etc.
Submission of non-peer reviewed articles/Op-eds
We also accept bylined articles from thought leaders and practitioners in the space, who don’t have the time or desire to commit to the more thorough peer-reviewed process but do have something thoughtful to contribute to the readership. In such cases, the would-be author should contact Holt Hackney at hhackney@hackneypubliucations.com
Article Authorship guidelines for all Article Submissions
The Journal of NCAA Compliance (JONC) limits the number of authors for each published manuscript to six. JONC adheres to the criteria for authorship as outlined by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors*

1. Conception and design, or analysis and interpretation of data; and
2. Drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content; and
3. Final approval of the version to be published.
*Uniform requirements for manuscripts submitted to biomedical journals. New England Journal of Medicine, 1991, 324, 424–428.
